The Leopard's Tale - October 29, 2021

Mon, 11/01/2021 - 9:23am

Dear LKMS Parents, Guardians and Community Members,

This week's weather has been a true tale of "Trick or Treat" - the mild fall weather of this week (the treat) has been replaced by rain and wind today (the trick).  Soon we will be faced with colder temps and perhaps a snowflake (or more).  Please be sure that your student comes to school with appropriate outerwear and head coverings, as students will wait outside until the 8:15 entrance bell rings, and outdoor recess will be held until the temperature combined with the wind chill is less than 20 degrees Fahrenheit.

Speaking of jackets and hats, our Lost and Found (located in the Cafeteria) has a large amount of jackets, hats, reusable water bottles, and lunch boxes, all with no student names on them.  If you are missing something, be sure to have your student come and check out these items.

We are looking forward to our PTA 6th Grade Ice Breaker next Wednesday, November 3, from 3:30-5:00. Permission Forms for participating are due today and can be found linked to the PTA website and our LKMS website (lkms.hcpss.org).

Smile :) Student pictures will be taken by Lifetouch on Friday, November 5 at LKMS.  All students will have their picture taken for school use (Synergy, yearbook, etc.).  If you wish to purchase a picture package, use the link on our LKMS website.

We have enjoyed seeing our staff and students wearing their "Crazy Hats" today!  Stay tuned for pictures that will be uploaded to our website after today.

Have a safe Halloween weekend filled with all treats and no tricks!

Mrs. Lublin and Mrs. Ketterman
