A Message from Administration

Dear LKMS Families and Community,

This morning I spoke to our students on our Leopard Spot News program to address some serious issues stemming from recent student behaviors involving violations of HCPSS Anti-Discrimination Policy 1010.

In my message to our students, I reminded them that no instances of discrimination, whether they be racial, ethnic, gender, or otherwise, will be tolerated at Lime Kiln Middle School.  At LKMS we have a very diverse community, and that is one of our strengths. I implored our students to report any instances of acts of discrimination to school administration, school counselors, a trusted teacher, or to their parent or guardian.

I can assure you that each and every instance of discrimination that is reported will be immediately investigated, and violations of policies and expected behaviors will be addressed immediately, including involving parents in the discussion.

Please support us by having a conversation with your child regarding your expectations for anti-discrimination and expected behaviors regarding the use of racial slurs and discriminatory acts.

We are a family and a strong community.  We thank you for your support in this important matter.

Ms. Lublin and Mrs. Ketterman
