The Leopard's Tale - October 8

Message from Administration

Dear LKMS Parents/Guardians and Community Members,

As we are fast approaching the end of the first quarter of the school year on November 3, we encourage you to check-in with your students and visit their Canvas pages to identify any areas of concern and supports needed as we approach this first milestone of the school year.

Information about signing up for November Parent-Teacher Conferences (November 22-24, 2021) will be coming soon.  We are excited that this year's conferences will be held virtually.  We know this will allow an easier, more accessible manner for many parents to participate in these important conversations with their students' teachers.  More information will be coming about how to sign up for a conference soon.

A reminder that you do not have to wait until November Conferences to reach out to your child's teacher with questions or concerns.  Please email teachers as soon as a concern or question arises, so that you may begin to collaborate with them to address needs early on for the best instructional experience for your child.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Ms. Lublin and Mrs. Ketterman

Private School Applications and Recommendation Requests

When requests are submitted for private school applications, please allow a turnaround time of two-weeks for teachers to complete the recommendations.  All submissions must include a transcript release form allowing us to release records to the requesting school.  If the academic records must be mailed via USPS, we ask that you include a stamped envelope addressed to the requesting school.  All requests should be sent to Ms. Hill in our Student Services office and she will distribute the requests to teachers.  If you have any questions, you may email rhonda_hill@hcpss.org or call 410-880-5997.
