LKMS - Leopard's Tale - April 11, 2019

Thu, 11/15/2018 - 2:14pm

Message from Administration

Dear LKMS Community,

As of Tuesday, April 9, all four inclement weather make up days have been used, plus one additional day. HCPSS has applied for a waiver of one day with the Maryland State Department of Education. MSDE is scheduled to meet Tuesday, April 23, and we expect a decision shortly thereafter.

If the waiver is granted, the last day of school for students will be Friday, June 21, with June 19-21 all three-hour early dismissals. If the waiver is denied, the last day of school will be Monday, June 24, with June 20, 21 and 24 as three-hour early dismissals.

Once the decision has been made, we will communicate any necessary changes to LKMS end-of-year activities and events.

In the meantime, whether you are traveling or enjoying a "stay-cation" this Spring Break, we hope that all of you are able to relax and enjoy the time with your family.  Rest up...because upon our return, we will be sailing in to the end of the year!

Enjoy!

Mrs. Lublin and Ms. Smith
